Specific Objectives:

 

To familiarize the participants with the nature, extent and implication of environmental degradation plugging Nigeria

 

To furnish participants with the importance of tropical rainforest to the Nigerian economic growth and social development.

 

Building capacity and develop an agenda for intensive stakeholders participatory grassroots environmental awareness campaign for modern tropical forestry practices in Nigeria.

 

 

To refresh participants’ knowledge on modern concept of tropical rainforests ecosystems managements.

 

To acquaint participants with various other sustainable economic alternative to prevent natural resources depletion, while reducing poverty in our rural communities.

 

To examine various dimensions of public policies which need to be upgraded to meet the yearning of modern sustainable environment and millennium development goals.

 

To strengthen the collaborative decision making capacity and policy formulation process of our concerned institutions for sustainable environment.

 

To build capacity and seek for collaboration to implement truly economically viable and ecologically appropriate local actions to mitigate rural poverty and environmental resources depletion in Nigeria.
